An Ode to a Mother

O gentle nurturer of life’s tender seed,

With hands that soothe and hearts that heed,

You stand as a beacon, constant and bright,

Guiding with love through day and night.

In your embrace, the world feels safe,

A haven of warmth, a sacred space.

Your whispers calm the storms of fears,

Your laughter, a melody that endears.

Through sleepless nights and tireless days,

Your strength and spirit never sways.

With every sacrifice, silent and deep,

You sow the dreams we dare to keep.

So here’s to you, dear mother, true,

For all the wonders that you do.

An ode to celebrate and cherish,

A love that time can never perish.

Your legacy in our hearts does dwell,

A story of love, forever to tell.

With gratitude, we sing your praise,

Our guiding star, through all our days.

A mother for me comes in many forms. She is an epitome of nurture care and unconditional love.

Kuan Yin - Avalokhiteshwara: My Celestial mother

Kuan Yin is a female buddha, goddess of forgiveness and compassion. She is very close to my heart. On a long weary day, it is she who gives me peace and solace. I am eternally grateful to have her grace on me always.

Mother Nature

Mother nature is so benevolent and generous. We keep taking from her relentlessly and she keeps giving ever so lovingly. We owe everything to her, the air we breath, the land we walk, the water we drink, the food we eat.

I feel so much at home when I am working with her in my garden. Everything that I do is still so insignificant to what she does for me.

My Dearest Mother

Last but not the least my dearest mother. She gave me birth. She raised me well. She is so talented and brilliant. She inspires me to excell and push my limits.

This mothers day - I built for her a little butterfly garden. It has lovely pollinators and perineal plants. It is a symphony of colors, shape and sizes. And right in the middle of it lies a beautiful birdbath with a fountain on it. This little garden in its full bloom would attract butterflies, hummingbirds and lovely little birds.

This is a perfect entertainment for my dearest mother as it is right next to the bay window of my living room, where she sits on her cosy comfy recliner.
